Scented Candles

My father’s inaanak sa kasal (wedding godchild doesn’t have the same ring to it, no?), was finally able to visit us here in the quiet North. Pa wasn’t able to attend the event physically because it was the day of the lockdown in the city. He even brought his suit to attend the event but it was all of us his kids who advised against it because the chaos was fast unfolding in the metro with the looming lockdown and all.  We were sure the couple would understand.

But finally, they were able to visit us here in the Bulacan. First off,  to give their ninong’s gift to Pa and second, catch up with everyone on news and chika. It’s been weeks and weeks of dealing with just ourselves in the house so the arrival of guests is very much welcomed! And we were the perfect gracious hosts, I must say. The AC is on, the good playlist is on the speaker, warm lighting, good food, and the house smelled amazing with the bamboo scent-laden diffuser.

Icing to the cake was that, when we opened their gift after they left, it was those Yankee scented candles that smelled divine. I’ve put it on my parents’ bedroom and near the stairs so the rooms smelled amazing. I’ve been using the diffuser every night before I sleep to help with the anxiety and these wonderfully-scented candles are a welcome addition to my pleasant-smelling home dreams.

Thank you!
